”We hope to achieve a 2.5% reduction per annum in CO2 emissions until 2017 from the trains we operate and we will improve this saving on our Pendolino trains through a variety of other measures based on efficient use of lighting” he explains.
Aura has been chosen by Virgin Trains to provide energy efficient LED lighting for the Pendolino trains in order to help Virgin Trains achieve their goal.
Highly energy efficient LED lighting

Virgin Trains have replaced Lighting on the Pendolino carriages for luggage shelves, carriages and for toilets stalls with Aura A-LED and Aura T8 Ultimate Long Life lamp and ”Not only has the new lighting improved energy efficiency of the Pendolino trains, the overall lighting is a vast improvement in overall lighting compared to the previous standard lighting.” explains Greg Newport.
